Veterans Day

Today I got on Facebook, and many people had put in their status that they were thankful for the veterans. I thought to myself how ungrateful I was, because when I woke up it seemed like... just another day. Then I checked my email and received a thoughtful one from my mom with a link to a movie about veterans.

I just thought I would give my thanks publicly to all the veterans that have sacrificed so much for me and for my family. I have always grown up with brave men and women around me that have protected my dear country. One thing I have also always had is my parents teaching me to respect those men and women.

One that is very close to my heart... My Grandpa (Frog) Always, he was there for me growing up, always he was hugging me, giving me kisses, spoiling me, and especially teaching me to be respectful. I am so grateful for my grandpa, when I hold my beautiful baby girl, when I kiss her goodnight and put her in her crib, I need not think about if she is safe or not, because my grandpa and valiant men like him have fought to keep her safe. Thank you Grandpa.
It's interesting, if you know a soldier you feel a closeness and sense of bravery, you feel patriotic and strong. My Grandpa is a perfect example of patriotism and I hope he knows how much I Love him and how Thankful I am for the Many sacrifices he put forward so his posterity would live in freedom.

I love you Grandpa Frog.

So even though I am just one person, I am one that chooses not to listen to the ignorance and negativity of the media, I respect and honor all men and women who serve my country.

Something to look foward to....

Now that I am 24 I realize that soon I will be old.... not really I think I am still young, but it does make me sit back and contemplate the next couple years and the many changes that will happen. Like when Halle enters kindergarten, I will be almost 30!
And while I see myself getting older I think about where I have came from, and it makes me excited because.....

I will look like this. Yes my mother looks like my sister, in fact she is cuter and more in style than I am! You can tell Halle loves her sooo much to!

Devan is Amazing

Daddy makes everything so fun!
My Girl forever and for always!

She is a gorgeous little girl!

This is the funniest face ever!

Our Family!

She is a Daddy's girl, and a mommy's girl!

We wanted to get some pictures of Halle since she is 6 months! (A big milestone as you know) So my ever so talented sister once again captured our sweet baby so we can always rememeber her!

1,2,3,4,5...and 6 months! Halle is so big!

Happy, Happy all the time! She is so beautiful I just love staring at her.

We went to mesquite for my birthday and on the way home (between the screaming, because she doesn't like being confined to her car seat!) She would pull this face! SO CUTE!

We just went to her 6 month check up and the stats are in... 17 lbs 09 oz, 27.5 inches long!! She is healthy! Which we knew but it is nice to get the confirmation, my doctor also told me I have very good breast milk... um thank you?

This was our first trip to the zoo, it was so fun! We were able to go with Jen, Stasia and another friend for my birthday! We had a blast, especially Halle. She loved all the people!
Now the Carousel was a sure treat! I thought she wouldn't pay attention at all, but Boy was I wrong! The second it started, she was jumping up and down giving the biggest smiles!

We had to sit next to stasia, so we got the beetle! fitting!

Happy Birthday! Jen made a wonderful dinner and a beautiful cake, it's weird how birthdays don't seem so important when you have a beautiful baby taking up all your time!

A long time ago time used to go very quickly, now it is slow. Some days are hard and I don't think I am going to make it, but others fly by and I am so happy to be with the people I am! A lot has happened in the last little while. Halle is getting so big and I can't believe the little milestones that make the huge difference! She is now full on trying her hardest to crawl. She hates being held back by her car seat, me, and any other restraining device. She does the cutest thing trying to crawl.... she pushes her butt in the air with her arms and scoots with her head pushed on the ground, its the easiest way she discovered how to move from point A to point B.

Lately

I was talking to Greg last night, and apparently he is mad because everyone is lacking in the Blog department! Well especially me, and rightfully so... there is several things that have happened in the last couple months, that have left me without air to breathe! Let alone Blog! In a jist, for those of you who don't know.....

We moved from Milwaukee back to Utah! With the intent of going to Bozeman for Greg to finish graduate school....

We had the truck comepletely packed full, and ready to hit the road, when Greg got a phone call from the apartments where we were supposed to stay, and we didn't have a place to stay, we used the rest of the day to try and find another place, and after several failed attempts we sat down in sincere prayer to try to figure something out.

We both knew Bozeman wasn't the right option, and we soon figured out that Greg needed to go to do extended sales in California.

Something I am NOT thrilled about, he is away in California for the month of September while Halle and I are house sitting in Midway, Utah, close to Heber.

So within two weeks my entire life was hit by a tornado, but once again I learned a valuable lesson....

There is always another plan that we don't know about and we just have to hold on for the ride!

So if you are in Utah, give me a call!

I have to be especially thankful for my family, Devan for her strength to help at all hours (even early!)

Karadie (and paul) they took our little family in and made us feel so welcome! I love you guys!

Pictures of the little one will come soon, she

is growing so big! We are enjoying her, she misses her daddy so much, they are the best of friends!

Mom and the Bosch

This morning I decided to make cinnamon rolls for Greg and his office because they have been going out early to try and win a competition they are in (and we are hoping they do well, because he could win a iphone4 or even a TV!!!) So I went into the kitchen so early in the morning and started making cinnamon rolls. At one point I thought to myself that I needed to be so quiet so Halle wouldn't wake up.... Then I got a smile on my face as I remembered all the times I would wake up to the Bosch downstairs in my house. I remember that sound so fondly, it meant that my mom had gotten up early to make sure that we were happy once again on a special occasion. I thought to myself, no... I want Halle to wake up! I want her to know and LOVE this sound the way that I do! Once again I am so thankful for my mom and the incredible woman that she is, I can't believe how blessed I am to follow in her footsteps.

Our Precious Little Girl

I am so proud to be a mommy! Everyday between the poop, crying, and spit up I get a little smile from this beautiful little girl. Every night I pray and thank my heavenly father for this precious blessing that he has given Greg and I. She is happy and healthy and that is all that I ask for!!

She is wrapped around our fingers!

I am so excited for the first time she asks me for something and she turns and runs to her father and asks him, because I am positive that he will NEVER be able to say No to her!

After all look at her you cannot say No!

Daddy.....can I have a cookie?.... Greg: Yes

Daddy.... Can I have a bike? Greg:Yes

Daddy...Can I drive your 68 Dodge Charger? ...Greg....."Yes!"

Growing Girl

We decided at four months that is was time to start Halle on the rice cereal! She is slowly getting the hang of it and loving it! It is so weird how fast she is growing!

Daddy's Girl

There are some nights that I have to keep Halle up so she is able to see her Daddy, just because I can tell that she misses him and he misses seeing her! This night in particular Halle was having a hard time going to bed so I kept her awake, right when Greg got home and grabbed her they sat down and went right to sleep together! Its funny how the simple things in life mean the most. This is one of my favorite pictures, Greg is such a good dad, and you can tell by the way Halle is nestled so close to him!

Nauvoo

I was able to go and meet my parents in Nauvoo! If you have ever been there you know that it is well worth the time and energy it takes to get out there. The spirit there is amazing, we were able to see the pageant two nights, eat at the merchantile, go on a carriage ride, and much much more. The only thing that was missing was the rest of the family. I really cannot wait until Greg can go. I told my mom and dad how thankful I was for the sacrifices they always gave so we were able to take trips as kids, and I truely mean it. My parents always gave up so much so we were able to learn develop knowledge of our faith. Thanks mom and dad!

Busy as Bees!

I know, I have been slacking a great deal in the Blog department! We have been busy and I am so excited to post our latest adventures, so please bear with me! Halle is doing Very well and I think that is why I am slacking so much, I am trying to soak up every minute of her being this small! I never knew all the amazing things that were in store for me, I love my family so much (and I consider friends my family as well!)

She Speaks!

I know I know, she is too young to talk, but she really does think she is already! I coo with her all day long and she laughs and smiles when I speak her language! She is so cute, this video isn't the best but it's what I have caught so far! She is not a fan of the video camera, she likes my undivided attention!

Six Flags

Greg's office won a challenge, so they won a trip to Six Flags!! It was a lot of fun to go and hang out. Most of you that know me know that I am anything but a thrill seeker! But I do enjoy watching, when I lived in California when I was younger, one of my favorite memories was going to Disneyland with my grandparents (thank you grandma and grandpa!) It was fun to remember those times, and be in that atmosphere again. Greg had an awesome time riding the roller coasters, he is one of those crazy guys that loves theme parks! I can't wait until next summer when I get to take Halle and Greg to Disneyland!

These were the days

Lately I have thought if the many things that I miss. Rock Creek, I basically grew up there, and it will always hold a sweet place in my heart!
Shanny Butt, she is on a mission right now and there is nothing I want to do more than talk to her on the phone, at least! We were always in trouble (or at least I was because she blamed everything on me!) If you know Shannon, once she is in your life, she is contagious! You need her smiling face all the time!
Our crazy family time, it's amazing while you are growing up how often you are trying to get away from your family, and then you move away and you spend the rest of your life trying to get back together with them! My family is amazing and I am so thankful that my mom fostered the relationships between my siblings! I love them, all of them!
